‘Hawkeye’ Jeremy Renner injured, now in critical but stable condition
The actor suffered injuries ‘after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow’ on Sunday
Jeremy Renner is receiving treatment after suffering serious injuries while clearing snow, the actor’s rep said on Sunday.
Avengers star Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in Avengers , is currently receiving treatment after suffering serious injuries while clearing snow, the actor’s representative said on Sunday.
“We can confirm that Jeremy is in critical but stable condition after injuries sustained in a weather-related accident while clearing snow early this morning,” said the actor’s representative to the entertainment magazine, Variety .
According to the report, Renner’s family is now with him and the actor is receiving excellent care.
Renner, 51, who plays popular superhero Hawkeye/Clint Barton in the Marvel franchise, has lived in a house in Washoe County, Nevada for several years.
However, it cannot be ascertained where he suffered the injury, either at home or perhaps at another location.
According to the Reno Gazette-Journal , the area in northern Nevada received heavy snow from the storm on New Year’s Eve.
In addition to being an Avenger, Renner is also twice nominated in the Oscar Awards, winning the Best Actor Award when he acted in the movie The Hurt Locker and nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for the movie The Town .
The Hurt Locker helped raise his name which went on to become famous with various other scripts including Arrival, American Hustler, 28 Weeks Later, The Bourne Legacy and two films in the Mission: Impossible series .
2012’s The Avengers cemented him as part of Marvel’s big dream, with his character appearing in several sequels and getting his own Disney+ series, Hawkeye .
Renner currently stars in Taylor Sheridan’s series, Mayor of Kingstown , which will begin airing its second season this month.
