Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, will be a dad soon
The actor is expecting his first child with longtime girlfriend Erin Darke
Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Drake have been in a relationship since meeting on the set of Kill Your Darlings in 2013.
DANIEL Radcliffe, 33 (yes, time flies), is becoming a dad soon, as longtime girlfriend actress Erin Drake is expecting, according to their representative.
“His relationship with Erin is really special and everyone thinks they will be amazing parents. They have kept it pretty quiet up until now but she can’t hide her bump anymore,” a source told The Sun.
“Daniel and Erin could not be happier to be expecting. They are absolutely thrilled and can’t wait to become parents. It’s an incredibly exciting time,” another source told The Mirror.
Radcliffe shot to worldwide fame as the lead character in the movie franchise based on JK Rowling’s tremendously popular series of fantasy novels, starting with 2001’s Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone (known as the Sorcerer’s Stone in the US and a couple other countries).
Radcliffe played Potter in a total of 8 movies from 2001 to 2011.
Radcliffe and Darke have been an item for about a decade, since meeting on the set of Kill Your Darlings in 2013. The pair also worked on the 2016 comedic film Don’t Think Twice and the anthology series Miracle Workers.
In a previous interview Radcliffe told Us Weekly that Darke was his ideal partner and that she is his ‘best friend’.
When it comes to whether he would want his children to follow in his footsteps, the actor has been quite hesitant.
“I wouldn’t want fame for my kid. Film sets are wonderful places. A lot of the time it can be wonderful for kids, but it’s really the fame side of it that should be avoided at all costs.”
