DANIEL Radcliffe, the star of Harry Potter fillm franchise, has become a father after his longtime partner Erin Darke gave birth to their first child. The 33-year-old actor announced Darke’s pregnancy several weeks ago.
Radcliffe was spotted wheeling a pram with Darke, with whom he has been in a relationship with for the last 10 years.
According to the BBC, the birth of their child was confirmed by Radcliffe’s publicist, who did not reveal the baby’s gender or name.
The pair first met in 2012 while working on the film Kill Your Darlings, in which Radcliffe played Beat generation poet and counter cultural figure Allen Ginsberg.
They worked again on the 2016 comedy film Don’t Think Twice, and Darke most recently starred in Radcliffe’s TBC comedy anthology series Miracle Workers.
Radcliffe was famously just 12 years old when he was cast as the titular child wizard in the movie adaptations of JK Rowling’s Harry Potter iconic series of fantasy novels. He starred in all eight movies.
Despite being widely recognised as the face of the Harry Potter franchise, Radcliffe has continued to pursue a diverse range of roles in film, television, and theatre since the series concluded in 2011.
