Haidar Hasanudin denied driving while drunk
Actor Haidar Hasanudin expressed his regret when he was accused of driving drunk and being irresponsible after being involved in an accident, recently.
According to the actor, he pleaded guilty when he hit a Proton Satria type vehicle, however denied that he was driving in a semi-conscious state as claimed by some parties.
To make things worse, Haidar is accused of acting to avoid being responsible for the incident.
“I was involved in an accident last March 15. My vehicle skidded and hit a Proton Satria. I admit that I am guilty of rear-ending.
“So, I apologize and go straight to the Police Station to make a report to comply with the law. I also asked him to file a police report.
“After the accident, I also had an examination at the hospital and the doctor confirmed that I had retrograde amnesia due to the strong impact of the airbag on my face and head.
“However, he wanted to settle outside and asked me to pay damages. I insist I want to follow the right way. But he was not satisfied with me because apparently the car in question had no road tax.
“After that, there were stories of me driving in a semi-conscious state, driving drunk, just returning from a night club and so on.
“That party made posts on Facebook and TikTok slandering me. The post on TikTok got almost 150,000 views. Worse, he contacted some media and spread false stories,” he said.
Haidar insisted, if it was true that he was driving drunk, he would have been arrested when he appeared at the police station to make a report.
“If it is true that I am drunk, the police will continue to investigate and arrest me. If the allegation is true, I will definitely be arrested when I file a police report. It is clear that the accusation of drunkenness is slander and brings down my reputation. “That party (Proton Satria) also sent threatening messages to me as if they knew where I live and so on.
“For safety reasons, I made a police report. I have also discussed with my lawyer for further action on the defamation that has been thrown.
“If he doesn’t delete all defamatory messages and make a public apology, I will not hesitate to extend this matter and take legal action,” he said.
Haidar also shared a media statement written by his lawyer, Muhammad Noor Azfar Noor Azmi from Shaharudinali Azfarazmi & Co which was uploaded on his Instagram page.
Earlier, Haidar was involved in an accident near Jalan Raja Laut here when the Honda City car he was driving collided with a Proton Satria vehicle at the traffic lights.
Haidar, however, has filed a police report and is ready to take full responsibility for his crime.
However, the owner of the Proton Satria has uploaded a post on social media with slanderous news about him.
In fact, the untrue statement became the source of a portal reporting gossip about an actor who allegedly just returned from a night club drunk and involved in an accident.
