GV9: Pat Candy knocked out, Jaclyn Victor continues to shine
KUALA LUMPUR: Candy’s vocalist Pat became the third contestant to leave the stage of Gegar Vaganza season nine (GV9), on Sunday.
In the concert of the fifth week, Pat who duetted with Aepul Roza from Drama Band presented the song Bakak Pertama, failed to impress the judges when she received the lowest score of 58.4 percent.
But Pat had time to share the good news about releasing a new single with her group.
Jaclyn Victor continued to excel when she once again topped the first place through a duet with Aina Abdul in the song Cinta, originally sung by Marsha Milan.
Jaclyn obtained a score of 92.4 percent thus taking home the Literary Amazing Star award.
The score is also the highest score obtained by GV participants this season.
The Next Level Digi Champion Award was won by Hazrul Nizam based on fan voting via Facebook Astro Gempak and took home RM1,000 in cash.
In the Sunday concert, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza was announced as the Farm Fresh ambassador and appeared to deliver the theme song.
All GV9 contestants were judged by a permanent jury namely Datuk Ramli MS, Hetty Koes Endang and Datuk Syafinaz Selamat.
