GV9: Lost focus during rehearsal, Tok Ram ‘angry’ at Dina Nadzir
The head jury of the Gegar Vaganza 9 (GV9) jury, Datuk Ramli MS revealed that he had scolded one of the program’s stars, Dina Nadzir, during the show’s rehearsal session last Saturday.
It was clear that Ramli or fondly called Tok Ram, scolded Dina because her singing at that time sounded a little bad and seemed to lose focus before being informed that the singer was actually facing a bitter situation regarding the news of her dying father.
“I didn’t know he had a problem, during the rehearsal I was angry at her for singing so badly, I shouted at him. Dina sang at that time like a kindergarten child, like she was lost and not focused.
“After I shouted at her on Saturday night, she received a call and that’s when I knew her father was dying.
“I’m the type who rarely gets angry, but due to my intention to teach, I had to be a little strict with the participants during rehearsals, including Dina.
“After I knew the real story, I understood why Dina sang badly during the rehearsal, I apologized to her about that,” he explained.
Tok Ram was met at the GV9 press conference session after the sixth week of the concert which took place at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) on Sunday.
Earlier, Dina Nadzir’s father was informed that he had died on Sunday morning. Following that, Dina took steps not to perform until she had to give in when she received the lowest score at GV9’s sixth week concert.
However, Dina’s place was represented by GV9’s female stars who are still competing namely Jaclyn Victor, Shila Amzah and Tom who performed a song called Januari which should have been performed by Dina herself.
