GE, Ramli MS why Noraniza Idris Solo Malai Concert was postponed?
The QUEEN of Malaysian rhythm, Noraniza Idris is understood to have had to postpone the Malai Solo Concert scheduled to take place at Panggung Sari, Istana Budaya from 21 to 23 October next.
The delay is believed to be due to a number of factors including the general election and the absence of a music director who should have been supported by Datuk Ramli MS.
“This production had to be postponed to another date due to several unavoidable factors in the preparation of the Malai Solo Concert program. Among them, the general election will most likely be held during the period in question.
“So, that made it difficult to organize the concert program from the aspect of inviting guests, including ministers and ministry representatives who are one of the pillars of organizing the concert.
“The absence of the music director, Datuk Ramli MS who was involved in the judging of the 9th Gegar Vanganza (GV) television program was also a major factor. It is understood that Astro did not allow Ramli to be involved in outside productions when he was under contract,” she informed.
The news spread through an official letter broadcast written by the Project Manager of Noraniza Idris Production Ventures Sdn Bhd owned by the singer himself recently.
In the meantime, Noraniza also faced health factors and lack of training time, forcing them to make that difficult decision.
“Noraniza failed to reduce several artistic activity commitments, including the organization of the Akar Karya Zapin event to the detriment of health, thus disrupting the training schedule set earlier.
“The commitment still needs to be implemented because it is unavoidable, even though it was agreed at the beginning. Due to several factors involving the contingent of zapin participants from abroad, Noraniza had to continue it.
“So, after getting advice from several parties and considering all aspects of the organization, the production decided to temporarily postpone the Malai Solo Concert until a new date that will be announced later,” she said.
Earlier, the Malai Solo Concert, which was supposed to be the first and last concert of the Dikir Puteri singer, became the talk of the town due to the ticket price issue which was allegedly too expensive.
Concert tickets are sold from RM299 to RM1,599.
For info, the Malai Solo Concert which is scheduled to take place on 21 to 23 October will use the services of 300 dancers and people skilled in performance technology.
