Former Harakah Editor -in -Chief, Ahmad Lutfi passed away

SHAH ALAM: Former Editor -in -Chief of Harakah newspaper, Ahmad Lutfi Othman died at the UiTM Puncak Alam Hospital on Saturday morning.

The matter was informed by the cartoonist, Lutfi Kartunis Zulkiflee SM Anwar Haque or better known as Zunar.

“Receive news, editors and writers who have done a lot during the Reformasi struggle, Ahmad Lutfi Othman’s brother breathed his last just now, around 2.30 am (Saturday 9 July) at UiTM Puncak Alam Hospital,” he said via a tweet on Saturday.

Among the political leaders who expressed their condolences were Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Mohamad Sabu and PKR secretary -general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

According to Mohamad, Ahmad Lutfi’s departure is a great loss for his party.

“Allahyarham has returned to rahmatullah on his 59th birthday and on the day of Arafah.

“A huge loss to the Parti Amanah Negara.

“May GOD shower blessings on his soul and grant him the highest heaven, forgive all his sins and mistakes and accept all his deeds of obedience and goodness throughout his life full of goodness,” he wrote on his Facebook.
