First KP of MSN Wan Ahmad Radzi died
KUALA LUMPUR: Former Director General (KP) of the National Sports Council (MSN), Wan Ahmad Radzi Wan Abdul Rahman died this afternoon at the age of 87 at UiTM Hospital.
The deceased was the KP of the National Youth and Sports Department (JBSN) in the early 80s and the individual responsible for activating MSN as the first KP of the sports body from 1980 to 1981.
“All MSN citizens pray that the soul of the deceased may be showered with the mercy of Allah SWT, forgiven of all his sins, accepted for all his acts of worship and placed with people of faith and good deeds,” according to MSN on its official Facebook.
The body was buried at Section 21 Islamic Cemetery, Shah Alam this afternoon.
The deceased is the father of former national female equestrian athlete and television personality, Wan Zaleha Radzi and former national female cycling athlete Wan Maizan Wan Radzi.
Meanwhile, KP MSN, Datuk Ahmad Shapawi Ismail said, Wan Ahmad Radzi is an individual with an attractive and decisive personality.
“I did not know him closely because I only joined MSN in 1988, but knew him through his children’s involvement in sports, as well as when he was recognized as the first MSN KP at the 2014 National Sports Awards,” he said when contacted.
