
Fellow artists share the grief of Rohana Jalil’s passing
KUALA LUMPUR: The departure of the famous singer, Rohana Jalil to rahmahtullah at around 11.33 last night did not only invite sorrow and sadness among the family members of the deceased.
On the other hand, fellow artists, including those who once forged fame together around the 1980s, are not exempt from feeling disappointed.
Rohana who was invited by God at the age of 68 is described by them as a friend with a noble personality.
The late Rohana was a friend who was always there for her friends in good times and in difficult times, including always being generous in offering help when there were those in need.
Recalling his friendship with Rohana, singer Datuk Azizul Khamis said that the deceased’s very generous and was known to his closest friends.
Having known the deceased since 1980, Azizul said, she did not mind handing out money when he needed help, once upon a time.
“People may not know, the deceased is actually kind. If you need money, the deceased lends you money and she donates a lot,” said Azizul as reported by the BH Online portal .

Rohana or real name Dara Abdul Jalil was born in Kota Tinggi, Johor on 18 February 1955 and died at the Tuanku Muhriz Chancellor’s Hospital (HCTM) Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) around 11.33 last night.
The deceased was previously treated at the hospital for two months due to intestinal leakage.
Fauziah or more affectionately called Ogy said, all the suffering of her friend is now over.
“Rest, my friend, in the eternal land. All your suffering is over.
“May the late Hajah Dara Jalil aka Rohana Jalil be placed with the believers. Amen Allahumma Amen.
“We here will miss you Ana…” wrote Ogy in a post on her social media account.
Not missing out on sharing a condolence note on her Instagram account was the famous singer Ramlah Ram who also prayed that Rohana’s soul may be blessed and placed among the people whom God loves.
Also praying for the soul of the late Rohana to be blessed by Allah SWT is actress and entrepreneur Neelofa.
In a message on her personal Twitter, Neelofa also extended her condolences to Rohana’s late son, actress Kila Fairy, on the passing of her beloved mother.
“May her soul always be blessed and be placed among the faithful and righteous people. Al-Fatihah,” wrote Neelofa.
