Famous wrestling star Jay Briscoe died in an accident
All Elite Wrestling CEO Tony Khan also announced Briscoe’s death on Twitter.
NEW YORK: Professional wrestling star Jay Briscoe has reportedly died at the age of 38.
Citing the BBC , several news outlets including Sports Illustrated reported Briscoe or his real name Jamin Pugh died in a car accident in Laurel, Delaware, United States but this news has not been confirmed.
In the meantime, a police spokesperson said they will come forward with more information about the crash that happened last Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, CEO of All Elite Wrestling, Tony Khan also announced Briscoe’s death on Twitter.
“Sad to say that Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH (Ring of Honor) for over 20 years.
“From the first show to today, Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, remain champions to this day,” he wrote on Twitter.

Briscoe joined ROH in 2002 and is known as one of the best tag team wrestling stars in the world. Jay competes with his brother Mark and this pair is known as The Briscoe Brothers.
They are 13-time ROH World Tag Team Champions and were inducted into the inaugural class of the ROH Hall of Fame last year.
World Wrestling Entertainment chief content officer Paul Levesque, better known as Triple H, described Briscoe as “an extraordinary star who created a deep connection with wrestling fans around the world”.
“My condolences to the family and friends of Jay Briscoe,” he said.

Last Tuesday, Delaware authorities tweeted about the fatal crash in the town of Laurel but did not identify the victim.
Following the incident, authorities said the accident was described as an “unimaginable tragedy” and asked the public to pray for the Pugh family’s well-being.
