Famous French director Jean-Luc Godard dies

BERN: French-born famous film director Jean-Luc Godard reportedly died at the age of 91, yesterday.

Godard reportedly breathed his last due to complications from various health problems on the family side at his residence in the Lake Geneva area, Switzerland.

Citing the Liberation report , the deceased who was a pioneer of the French film art movement of the 60s began to explode after his script, Breathless and Contempt managed to change the thinking of directors of that generation.

Godard, who is considered the ‘dictionary’ of the film industry players, is seen as a fairly relaxed person with thick glasses, messy hair, but the revolution he brought remains an example to this day.

The deceased who was born on December 3, 1930 is seen often injecting ideas outside the box in the production of his films including The Little Soldier, A Woman is a Woman and Alphaville . To date, Godard has managed to produce more than 100 films.

French President Emmanuel Macron described the death of Godard, a genius director, as a great loss for the country.
