Ericsson is actively committed to the 5G ecosystem, investment in Malaysia
PUTRAJAYA: The giant telecommunications company from Sweden, Ericsson expressed its commitment to continue intensifying the 5G coverage network ecosystem and the multinational company’s investment in Malaysia.
In a post on his Facebook account today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the matter was informed during a courtesy visit by the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ericsson Group, Börje Ekholm at his office here, on Friday.
“This discussion is focused on the latest status of the implementation of the 5G network in Malaysia which is capable of being a pioneer in the development of infrastructure and coverage of the 5G network,” he said.
The Prime Minister also expressed confidence that the 5G network is capable of boosting the competitiveness of the Malaysian economy as well as the level of productivity and added value of the industry.
“I hope the implementation of the 5G network can have a positive impact on communication coverage for Malaysian families,” he said.
Ericsson, which has been in Malaysia for the past 57 years, is a leading company in 5G technology in the region.
