Elon Musk appointed new boss of Twitter
OWNER of Twitter, Elon Musk shared the news that he has found an individual who will lead the popular social media platform as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The announcement was made by Musk on his personal official Twitter account.
Musk bought the social media platform for $44 billion last year.
Musk, however, did not name the individual, but hinted at the personality of the woman who will start the job within the next six weeks.
The appointment of the new person later, Musk explained, will allow him to focus as Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer.
Musk, CNN reported , is under pressure to name someone else to lead the company and he is being urged to focus on other businesses he is working on.
The world billionaire, who also pioneered the manufacture of electric cars, Tesla and the spacecraft company SpaceX, said last November that he expected to reduce his time on Twitter and would look for a new leader.
