Ellen DeGeneres’ DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss has died
LOS ANGELES: Deejay Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, who famously ran the talk show Ellen DeGeneres, has been reported dead at the age of 40.
According to the LA County Medical Examiner, Boss who was the runner-up of the reality show “So You Think You Can Dance” died of severe gunshot wounds, yesterday.
His wife Allison Holker Boss filed a police report about her husband’s disappearance before paramedics received an emergency call from a hotel in Los Angeles, United States.
Holker in his statement informed the departure of her husband who became the backbone of the family.
“With a heavy heart, I inform you that my husband Stephen has left us.
“Stephen brought a light of joy to every room. The late cherished family, friends and community, with love.
“The deceased was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father and an inspiration to his fans,” said Holker.
Meanwhile, DeGeneres in her reaction said she was “heartbroken” to hear the news of the passing of the friend she considered her own family.
“I am very heartbroken. TWitch is pure love and light.
“He’s my family, and I love him with all my heart. I’ll miss him for sure.
“Give your love and support to Allison and her beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia,” DeGeneres wrote on her social media account.
Montgomery, Alabama-born Boss gained immense popularity as a DJ on the Ellen show from 2014 to May 2022 and became an executive producer of the program in 2020.
Bos left behind a widow with three children namely Weslie Renae, 14; Maddox Laurel, 6; and Zaia, 3.
