Echoes of Islamic music on the Anniversary Stage
KUALA LUMPUR: For the first time, with an endemic atmosphere in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur Garden of Eid Festival (GOE) 2022 will present a festival that is Islamic but relaxing and entertaining.
Named the Garden of Eid Festival, it was inspired in conjunction with the translation of the Garden character which carries the meaning of the garden described in the Quran as jannah or paradise.
GOE is also an event that celebrates the two biggest festivals of Muslims, namely Aidilfitri and Aidiladha.
This event is in line with the concept of a festival that preserves spirituality and religion but is delivered in a casual atmosphere in addition to featuring entertainment that complies with sharia and at the same time brings education that is beneficial for all levels of society.
Combining a line -up of popular celebrities led by a group that has made a name for itself in the late spiritual music, Raihan, GOE is also graced with other famous singers who always highlight the positive message in each of their works.
The other singers listed are Datuk Jamal Abdillah, Faizal Tahir and Naim Daniel as well as Altimet (as the host) who will appear in a spiritual performance on May 28 starting at 8.30 pm at the Anniversary Theater, Kuala Lumpur.
In an effort to give a difference as well, the organizers also featured a great Indonesian artist, Ahmad Dhani who will appear on the closing night of GOE.
Ahmad Dhani was specially flown in from the neighboring country to perform ‘Malam Munajat Cinta’ on May 29 at the same location and time.
The appearance of Ahmad Dhani is certainly the main attraction among his loyal fans who certainly do not want to miss the special performance.
Not only does it raise the eyes of entertainment, this festival also highlights the lifestyle of today’s society without turning a blind eye to religion and remains with the noble values of various activities for the younger generation such as skateboarding competitions .
In fact, the approach to children’s education is also casually injected with the emergence of world -famous Islamic animated characters, Omar & Hana, Didi & Friends as well as Agent Ali.
For the country’s famous nasyir group, Raihan, they are very proud to be given the opportunity to hold a performance that is considered unique because they only use percussion equipment as an accompaniment to the performance.
“We hope GOE gives a difference to the community to get entertainment with the Aidilfitri celebration as well as highlight the theme of using percussion instruments for musical instruments that are rarely performed in our country,” said Raihan.
Meanwhile, the singer who is famous for his song Assalammualaikum, Faizal Tahir also hopes that GOE visitors will get from the filling of the night.
“Apart from being able to spend time with family and friends, I hope the visitors who attend benefit from the month of Syawal that we celebrate,” said Faizal.
With the theme of The Great Reunion (a metaphor for the joy of overcoming various obstacles in the world, including the difficulty of passing through the pandemic phase), the festival will last for three days from 27 to 29 May.
Also filling the schedule for three days from 10 am to 10 pm of the festival is a motivational sharing session and casual talk on humanities and Islamic education in general.
If it’s already called a festival, it’s not complete without ‘eating and eating’. Eating various types of food with the concept of ‘ Flavors of Malaysia ‘ sold from food trucks will satisfy the tastes of visitors.
And as a bonus, the welcoming culture of celebration from several archipelago and neighboring countries including Brunei, Indonesia and Thailand is ready to greet visitors.
* The Garden of Eid Festival will take place on 27 to 29 May at Taman Botani Perdana, Kuala Lumpur from 10 am to 10 pm.
