Creator of ‘Pegang Waktu’ crowned Best TV Drama in ASA 2022
Pegang Waktu Creator (TV3) was crowned as the Best TV Drama Anugerah Seri Angkasa 2022 (ASA 2022) which ended on Sunday night.
The result of this victory, the drama published by TV3 brought home a winning trophy, cash prizes and a Digital Content Fund (DKD) worth RM200,000.00.
Meanwhile, the documentary entitled Social Playlist by Herbert Pua Kuo Jie published by Astro won the Best TV Documentary Award and took home the winning trophy, cash prize and DKD worth RM150,000.00.
This victory was celebrated live in a glorious atmosphere at the Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC).
The winners of all ASA 2022 categories not only received their respective winning trophies but also received cash prizes amounting to RM5,000.
This prestigious award also saw prima donna Fauziah Nawi crowned as a Space Figure who received a trophy and a cash prize worth RM10,000.00 and a Mitsubishi Expander model car.
Tuan Haji Ahmad Noor Sulaiman, Publisher of the Halaqah Program (Episode 7): Disaster, Do We Reflect? The TV3 publication was selected to receive the Special Jury Award which also received a trophy and a cash prize worth RM8,000.00.
Anugerah Seri Angkasa 2022 with the theme ‘Peak of Excellence’ which was first organized in 1972 and last held in 2016 has now returned to color the scene of the country’s broadcasting and creative industries by receiving a total of 1,586 nominations.
Out of that number, 1,354 nominations have met the requirements, namely 1,035 for the Television Category, 276 for the Radio Category and 43 for the New Media Category which was introduced for the first time this time.
This significant increase shows that the achievement of broadcasting standards by the employees, publishing crew and others in the production of their respective works.
Earlier, the Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima TPr, Annuar Musa who sparked the idea for the rebranding of ASA said that the organization of the prestigious award ceremony also introduced the Digital Content Fund (DKD) as a very prestigious prize up for grabs.
This is in line with the measures under the National Recovery Plan which aims to help and encourage creative industry practitioners to produce, market and distribute creative content of high value to the local and international markets, especially in the post-Covid-19 phase.
