Coronation Concert: Prince William shows appreciation, performance extravaganza

The British Royal Family attended the Coronation Concert of King Charles III which lasted over 2 hours in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

LONDON: Prince William paid tribute to his father in a concert extravaganza to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

“Dad, we’re all proud of you,” said the Prince of Wales before praising his father’s dedication to the throne, including his work on charity and the environment.

The heir to the throne presented the award in front of 20,000 people who attended the concert which took place at Windsor Castle.

Among the celebrities involved are the Take That group, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Paloma Faith, Andrea Brocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel and Alexis Ffrench.

Various performances were also presented including theatre, ballet including the main star of Doctor Who, Ncuti Gatwa in an interpretation performance of Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet.

Also present was the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton with their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Prince Louis who just turned 5 years old on April 23 was not present and was at their residence.

The concert, which lasted more than two hours, took place on the East Front of the palace, making it the first event of its kind to take place in the palace.
