Controversial video clip: Aliff Syukri attends SKMM
CYBERJAYA: Entrepreneur Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri arrived at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Headquarters compound on Tuesday to testify and record a conversation on the controversial Hari Raya Aidilfitri music video.
Aliff Syukri who was wearing a gray coat and black pants arrived at 9.58 am and managed to greet reporters who were waiting for his presence.
“I’m sorry, I have to go inside,” he said as he walked towards the lobby of the MCMC Headquarters.
Malaysian Minister of Communications and Multimedia (K-Kom) Tan Sri Annuar Musa on Monday said that individuals involved in the music video had been given notice to attend SKMM.
An investigation paper under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 has been opened.
Earlier, the music video released in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri received criticism from various quarters due to the display of male dancers with female characters.
Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences lecturer Associate Professor Dr Rafidah Hanim Mokhtar described the entrepreneur as if he was promoting an inverted lifestyle through the music video.
