Conflict continues, Brad Pitt suits Angelina Jolie

ACTOR Brad Pitt has filed a lawsuit against his ex -wife, Angelina Jolie, for selling part of the Chateau Miraval winery, to Russian tycoon Yuri Shefler.

Jolie’s shares were bought by Tenute del Mondo, a subsidiary of Stoli Group, which is controlled by Shefler.

According to entertainment portal ET, Pitt, 58, is seeking financial damages and legal fees, in addition to asking for the sale of Miraval to Shefler to be canceled.

They bought the Correns, France winery in 2008, with 60 percent of the share owned by Pitt while the rest belonged to Jolie.

However, Pitt claims that Jolie, 46, was not trying to make the winery profitable while she was trying to do so.

Pitt also said under the terms of their divorce, there was an understanding that they could not sell their respective shares without the consent of the other party.

Jolie informed the court that her intention to sell her share in July 2021 had been agreed to by Pitt, and Pitt informed that he was ready to consider it in September.

However, Pitt claims he was not given the right to refuse.

He also claimed that the sale had rendered him unable to manage his business.

The couple, who have been together for 12 years, are also embroiled in a custody dispute over their six children.
