KUALA LUMPUR: Negeri Sembilan, Penang and Kelantan each held a Maulidur Rasul celebration last night.

In NEGERI SEMBILAN, the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Almarhum Tuanku Munawir called on religious scholars and preachers in the state to examine appropriate preaching methodology in dealing with various religious issues facing society, especially the young generation.

His Majesty said this is very important in facing modern life with information technology and a more open world.

His Majesty said, Allah SWT has given guidelines summarized in the Qur’an regarding the procedures for carrying out the call to goodness by emphasizing methods that can empower the intellectualism of da’wah and bring prosperity to the community.

“It covers the preaching approach with wisdom, giving good lessons and reminders and debating in an orderly and polite manner.

“Accordingly, the community needs to obtain goodness in the right way guided by the true teachings of Islam.

“Teachings and reminders that are delivered prudently have benefits so that they can leave a deep impression on the hearts of those who are called upon, in addition to trying to draw them closer to the religion of Islam,” said His Majesty when speaking at the state-level Maulidur Rasul Majlis at the Negeri Mosque, Seremban here which was attended by about 1,000 pilgrims.

Tuanku Muhriz said Islam should be protected and developed through a respectful approach and implemented without coercion, pressure and violence.

His Majesty also expressed his appreciation to the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun as well as the entire administrative machinery of the state government for their determination to ensure the progress and development of Islam in the state is always on the right track.

In PENANG Island, State President Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak urged Muslims in the state to embrace the theme of this year’s Maulidur Rasul celebration, which is “Malaysian Family as the Catalyst of Prosperity” and to emulate the qualities and attitudes of the Prophet.

“In line with the chosen theme, it involves three cores, namely the concept of inclusion, equality and gratitude, therefore I believe that the Malaysian Family built with the character and attitude of the Prophet can be a catalyst for Malaysia’s progress,” he said at the Maulidur Rasul Celebration Ceremony held at the Mosque Abdullah Fahim, in Bertam here.

The celebration at the state level also saw the Executive Chairman of Yayasan Restu, Datuk Abdul Latiff Mirasa receive the Tokoh Maulidur Rasul award at the Penang state level this year.

Abdul Latiff, 77, who was a Member of the Seberang Jaya State Assembly (ADUN) from 1995 to 2000 brought home a trophy, RM5,000 in cash, certificates and souvenirs.

In KELANTAN, Tengku Mahkota Kelantan, Tengku Dr Muhammad Faiz Petra agreed to go to the state-level Maulidur Rasul celebrations held at the Muhammadi Mosque, Kota Bharu.

His Majesty’s arrival at 7pm was greeted by Deputy Minister Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah, State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Abdullah Ya’kub and Kelantan Islamic Religious Council and Malay Customs (MAIK) Chairman Tengku Tan Sri Mohamad Rizam Tengku Abdul Aziz.

His Majesty then agreed to perform the Maghrib and Isyak prayers in congregation with more than 500 people and listen to the Maulidur Rasul lecture delivered by the Hijratul Rasul figure of the state of Kelantan for the year 2022 Dr Mohd Zain Mahmood as well as mass salawat on the great leader of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
