Celebrate Japan in California: Taste of Japan Festival Lights Up Anaheim This Summer

This June, Southern California’s largest Japanese cultural event, the Taste of Japan Festival, returns to STC Anaheim GardenWalk from June 13–15. In celebration of its 6th anniversary, the festival promises a weekend rich with Japanese cuisine, art, music, and tradition.

New this year is Tokyo City Lights, a Friday night cultural fusion event at the House of Blues. With artists like DJ Hello Kitty, TeddyLoid, and Discoholic, guests will enjoy a night of beats, lights, and Japanese street food — all while standing a chance to win exclusive prizes.

Over the weekend, festival-goers can browse through 100+ vendors, enjoy authentic eats at Oishii Yokocho, shop Japanese crafts at Takumi Alley, and take in daily live shows featuring traditional drumming, martial arts, and anime-themed performances.

For guests 21+, the Yokocho VIP lounge offers a curated tasting experience with premium sake, Japanese beer, and snacks — all in an elegant 13,000 sq. ft. indoor space.

Admission is free. Event tickets for Tokyo City Lights and VIP tastings start at $15. Visit tasteofjpn.com for full details.
