Cakra Khan sad memory during pandemic

Indonesian SINGER Cakra Khan admitted that he had gone through the lowest point in his life when the country was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic where his father died on August 21, 2020 in addition to losing a good friend at the same time.

Sharing the saddest moment, Cakra said that he managed to take care of his late father, Hermana, who was being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) before he breathed his last due to a stroke.

“Actually during COVID, many things happened… that time was my lowest point because I lost my father and also a friend. Many unexpected events.

“When my father was sick, I accompanied him to the hospital (hospital) but there was one day, I wanted to go to a singing invitation, I found out that my father’s health had suddenly deteriorated.

“So, I broke down, canceled the show and when I got to the hospital, my father had passed away. At that time, I really went through the worst feeling ,” he told Gempak.

The singer of Kekasih Bayangan was found during the press conference of the Concert A Decade: Cakra Khan Live In Kuala Lumpur 2023 at Shook! JW Marriott, Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

Never thought of quitting the entertainment world, Cakra, however, now focuses more on his family, especially his mother, than his artistic career.

“To leave the world of entertainment is not right, but at that time, it made me think about spending as much time as possible with my family. The way I heal my heart, I go back to my family.

“I went back to my mother’s house and spent time together. It really helped and Alhamdulillah I can start focusing again. No matter how busy I am, I will still spend time with my family.

“In the past, I was working as a phone mom, I would have left it first. But now, even though I’m busy at an event, my mother will keep picking up the phone,” he said.

In the meantime, Cakra will make a special tribute segment at the concert to be held on January 20, 2023 for his late father who became the main pillar in his artistic career.

“There are many things that I regret because my father contributed a lot in each of my works. He is the one who encouraged me to become a singer. So, at the concert later there will be a tribute to my father,” he said.
