BTS’ Jimin reveals first solo album Face coming in March
Jimin is the latest member of the K-pop supergroup to release a solo album
JIMIN of BTS has announced his first solo album called Face, which is releasing on March 24, via Big Hit Music.
News of Jimin’s first full-length solo project arrived in a short video clip, which according to a news release, is about “Jimin facing himself head-on as he gets ready for his next steps.”
“I’m currently preparing lots of things that I can do together with you guys around that time,” Jimin said, according to a report by Soompi. “I’m planning lots of different kinds of things we can do to have fun together and enjoy ourselves, so I think you can safely look forward to it.”
Jimin previously collaborated with BigBang member Taeyang on the track ‘Vibe,’ which was his first official release since BTS announced they were going on hiatus so that the supergroup’s members could work on their solo ventures.
Jimin has previously sung solo on the songs ‘Lie’ and ‘Serendipity,’ as well as ‘With You’ from the soundtrack to the TvN drama ‘Our Blues.’
Fellow BTS members RM and j-hope have already come out with their full-length solo albums, while Jin released ‘The Astronaut’ with Coldplay, and Jungkook teamed up with Charlie Puth on the song ‘Left and Right’ and shared ‘Dreamers’ during the 2022 World Cup opening ceremony. Suga, for his part, has announced a solo trek in the US and Asia.
