Black Music Action Coalition Relaunches BMAC LIVE Accelerator Program with Live Nation
May 5, 2025 – Los Angeles, The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC), in partnership with Live Nation, has announced the return of the BMAC LIVE Accelerator Program for a second year. Designed to nurture future leaders in live music, the initiative offers comprehensive training and career-building opportunities for aspiring music industry professionals. Applications are now open through May 16, 2025, with participant selections to be finalized by June 20.
Running from July 14 to 18 in Los Angeles, the week-long, fully funded immersive program will bring together 20 emerging talents for hands-on experience and direct mentorship from top figures in the live entertainment industry. Backed by Live Nation’s School of Live, the program covers key areas such as concert production, budgeting, talent booking, marketing, ticketing, and artist relations.
Graduates of the program will be eligible to apply for exclusive part-time, paid internships at Live Nation. These positions are tailored for BMAC participants and include continuous support from both Live Nation and BMAC to ensure long-term success in the field.
“We’re incredibly proud of what we accomplished with our first cohort,” said Willie ‘Prophet’ Stiggers, Co-founder, President & CEO of BMAC. “This program creates access for individuals who’ve historically been excluded from the industry. Together with Live Nation, we’re building a pipeline for the next generation of professionals in live music.”
Live Nation Concerts Co-President Omar Al-joulani echoed this sentiment:
“We saw firsthand the positive impact of last year’s program. With year two, we’re doubling down on our investment in emerging talent—offering valuable real-world training, industry access, and mentorship from professionals passionate about live music.”
Now in its second year, the program expands on BMAC’s broader mission to drive equity, access, and representation across the music industry. Among BMAC’s other key initiatives are the Music Business Accelerator at Tennessee State University, the Music Maker Guaranteed Income and Mentorship Program (in partnership with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame), and Restore and Rebuild LA, a relief fund for victims of the 2025 California wildfires.
BMAC also supports emerging creators through its Music Maker Grants, which are offered in collaboration with music legends such as Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Victoria Monét, and the Luther Vandross Foundation.
