Aznil is excited to return to the graduation stage after 37 years
LAWYER and popular celebrity, Datuk Aznil Nawawi stole the attention of the graduates and parents present at the 62nd Universiti Malaya (UM) Convocation Ceremony on Saturday.
Aznil or more affectionately known as Pak Nil informed that his presence for the first time at the convocation ceremony was as the UM Alumni Ambassador.

“Pak Nil was invited to attend as an alumni of the Faculty of Economics and Administration after successfully graduating in 1985.
“In addition, Pak Nil was also a witness in this ceremony and at the same time also welcomed the presence of all of them as new alumni of UM,” he said when contacted by Astro AWANI.
Confessing he was excited to return to the same stage after 37 years, Pak Nil enjoyed spending time with the graduates and their families.
“I didn’t leave the hall… I was busy taking pictures.
“I understand their feelings after facing difficulties with COVID-19, finally finishing their studies.
“It was touching to see the faces of parents who came from far away just to see their children.
“I’m happy for them,” he added.
UM celebrated 7,863 graduates in the convocation ceremony this time in 15 sessions from 5 to 12 December 2022.
