Annuar Musa ‘shows talent’ singing P. Ramlee’s song
IN the country’s political arena, the name of Tan Sri Annuar Musa is not something foreign.
In fact, who would have thought that the Minister of Communications and Multimedia also has ‘hidden talent’, including in the field of singing.
The talent possessed by the Ketereh Member of Parliament was evident when he was a special guest in the MeleTOP program which was broadcast live on Tuesday night.
Through a special segment of the battle , Annuar and the host, Nabil Ahmad were required to guess the title of the song by the Great Artist, the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee.
The special segment was to commemorate the services and contributions of the country’s legend in the country’s film and music industry, and also in conjunction with the birthday of the late P. Ramlee on March 22.
In the first round of the segment hosted by host, Sherry Alhadad, Annuar managed to guess the title of the Soul Vibration song through the melody of music played by the group Caliph Buskers.
Annuar then casually accepted Nabil and Sherry’s invitation to sing his guess song.
Not only ‘spending’ on the first song, Annuar who is also the former Minister of Rural Development once again sang the verses of the song Jeritan Batinku after successfully guessing the song.
“Tan Sri is interested in not wanting to enter Gegar Vaganza ? I think Tan Sri has a (melodious) voice and potential … and I think Tok Ram (Datuk Ramli MS) will give full marks,” joked Nabil upon hearing the song.
Annuar then jokingly replied: “The vaganza didn’t happen, it just shook …”
At the same time, Annuar also expressed his appreciation to the art activists in conjunction with Artists’ Day.
“Continue to play our respective roles so that we can jointly develop the Malaysian Family and become a nation that we are both proud of.
“The role of all artists is very much appreciated,” he said.
On 29 May 2008, the former Minister of Information Communication and Culture, Tan Sri Rais Yatim announced 29 May as Artists’ Day in conjunction with the passing of the late P. Ramlee on 29 May 1973.
