Amber Heard failed an attempt to get a new trial
“Aquaman” actress Amber Heard has failed in an attempt to get a new trial for a defamation case against her ex -husband, Johnny Depp.
Heard’s attorneys filed a court application to overturn the case’s decision and declare the trial erroneous on the grounds of jury bias.
However, the application was rejected by the court.
Judge Penny Azcarate ruled there was no evidence to support the jury’s allegations of bias.
Last June, Heard was ordered to pay US $ 10.35 million to Depp for defaming the actor.
Depp, 59, sued Heard for defamation and alleged domestic violence throughout the marriage.
