Amazon laid off more than 17,000 workers
WASHINGTON: Amazon, the United States (US) e-commerce giant will lay off more than 17,000 workers, according to a report on Wednesday.
The layoffs are focused on the company’s corporate officers, Anadolu Agency reported citing the Wall Street Journal .
In November, the Seattle-based company announced the layoffs of its corporate workforce focused on its device business, hiring and retail operations.
As of September, the company employed 1.5 million workers with a large percentage working in warehouses.
