Alleged molestation of teenage boys, celebrity preacher investigated by police
A celebrity preacher was remanded by the police for six days to help investigate a case of sexual assault against several young men.
Aged 40, the preacher who is also active in acting was arrested yesterday and taken to the Klang Court yesterday for an application for remand.
According to the BOOM! portal, sources claim that the suspect’s actions were revealed after several victims who were believed to have been molested by the man came to file a police report at the Klang Selatan District Police Headquarters (IPD), Selangor.
“Based on the reports of the victims, they are all acquaintances of the suspect and the perpetrator persuaded them to commit the immoral act.
“Due to the trauma, they reported the incident to the police,” he said.
Meanwhile, Selangor Police Chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed confirmed the suspect’s arrest and further investigations are underway.
The case is being investigated in accordance with Section 14 of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017.
