Aidiladha: China celebrates on Saturdays and Sundays, according to the province
BEIJING: The Aidiladha celebrations in China will be celebrated differently according to each province and city in the country.
The Chinese Muslim Association said some provinces would celebrate on Saturday, July 9, and some would celebrate on Sunday, July 10.
The imam at the Beijing Mosque informed Aidiladha is celebrated on Sunday, while Muslims in Qinghai province celebrate on Saturday.
Taiwan will celebrate it on Saturday and Japan on Sunday.
Muslim residents especially in Xinjiang, Qinghai and Ningxia celebrate Aidiladha by slaughtering sacrificial animals and distributing meat to local communities.
However, the celebration this time still does not allow Muslims to perform prayers in the mosque because it is still closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
