Ahmad Idham, Eizlan Yusof’s service in the Foreign Ministry terminated – Report

KUALA LUMPUR: The services of Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nazri and Datuk Seri Eizlan Yusof, respectively as Cultural Secretaries and Creative Consultants at the Foreign Ministry, have been terminated.

Sinar Daily reported that the matter was confirmed by Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah, who said the contract between the two had been terminated.

However, Saifuddin declined to comment on the reason for the termination of their contracts.

“I have no comment on this matter,” he told Sinar Harian.

The two actors were appointed to the post on November 1 last year with the appointment announced by Saifuddin himself.

Prior to holding the position of Cultural Secretary, Ahmad Idham was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Film Development Corporation (Finas).

Saifuddin was reported to have said that Ahmad Idham was appointed because of his extensive experience of 25 years in the creative industry, including winning international awards at the Chunsa Korea Film Festival in 2018.

Eizlan, on the other hand, said he was no stranger to the industry and had served in various capacities and won various awards locally and internationally.
