After Sumandak Sabah, Marsha and Velvet will appear with the song Aramaitiii
KOTA KINABALU: Four years ago, the country’s music world was shaken by the phenomenon of the Sabah Sumandak song sung by two Negeri Di Bawah Bayu -born singers, Marsha Milan Londoh and Velvet Aduk.
The uniqueness of the melody and lyrics written by the two singers not only became the whistle of the community, but it also proved to be a suitable song ‘labeled’ as a song that promotes the state of Sabah.
Even more proud, the song released by Bornaya Records has managed to reach a total of more than 15 million views so far.
Not only Sumandak Sabah , the dynamic duo also appeared with several other singles including Oi Gaman and Insan Tadau .
Continuing the harmony in the work, they will appear with a ‘masterpiece’ song entitled Aramaitiii which is specially dedicated to the spirit of consensus in Sabah which remains strong to this day.
Receiving sponsorship from Qhazanah Sabah Berhad, Marsha and Velvet described the ongoing effort as to continue to raise Sabah’s name and culture around the world.
“During these four years, we have moved on our own and worked hard on the basis of a deep love for the culture in Sabah. We want Sabah’s name and culture to be elevated not only in Malaysia, but all over the world.
“Even without the support of any corporation or organization before, we remain passionate for the struggle. Despite receiving last-minute sponsorship for Aramaitiii , we never stop expressing our gratitude for the trust of Qhazanah Sabah Berhad, ”they said.
When commenting on the title of the song Aramaitiii , they said the term was not unfamiliar and was often chanted by the people of Sabah and was even known throughout Malaysia.
“The spirit of consensus that has existed in Sabah for a long time has been an important pillar of unity to remain strong. We want to highlight that in Aramaitiii ‘s songs and music videos so that the message can be absorbed by anyone from all over the world.
“We really insisted on choosing the term Aramaitiii which is close enough to the hearts of the people of Sabah without thinking twice. Let the lyrics of ‘aramatiii’ be repeated and become the slogan, most importantly the message reaches and touches the hearts of every listener, “they added.
For the music video production of this song, Marsha will act as the director for the entire project.
It will involve a workforce of 26 crew involving friends and family members and filming will be conducted in Tambunan.
More interestingly, they also used the services of renowned stylist Saerah Ridzuan from Hello Stylar.
Saerah once won the Best Costume award at the International Music Video Awards in the United Kingdom, last year.
