Afgan’s biggest solo concert in Malaysia this December
Afgan’s biggest solo concert in Malaysia will be held at Setia Spice Arena, Penang on December 28.
KUALA LUMPUR: Throughout his 17 years of involvement in the music industry, Afgan, a popular Indonesian singer of the melancholic genre, has not had the opportunity to warm up the stage or embroider the soul of his fans with his ballads on a large scale.
The highest attendance of fans of the Terima Kasih Cinta singer in his concert performance was around 5,000 spectators only and that too in his country of birth.
But this situation may change when Afgan or full name Afganshah Reza, 35, is about to hold the biggest solo concert in his career as a singer scheduled to take place in Malaysia on December 28.
Located at Setia Spice Arena, Penang, the ‘Afghan Live in Penang’ concert organized by Strategy X Entertainment, which will involve an audience capacity of approximately 7,000 to 8,000 people, is definitely a very meaningful gift for its fans.
“My biggest concert so far was around 5,500 people and that was in Indonesia. So, the concert that will take place at Setia Spice Arena, at 8pm, will be the biggest solo concert in my singing career.
“I am always excited to hold a concert in Malaysia because I know the fans who attend will never be disappointed even if it is held in Penang,” he said at the concert’s press conference here recently.
There is no denying that he is also nervous in making the large-scale performance a success, Afgan, who won the Best Male Artist trophy at the Planet Muzik Awards in 2009, is optimistic that his concert will be successful with the solid support of the organizers and his team.
Will rock the emotions of his fans with the sound of 25 hit songs that tell the story of his artistic career, this concert as before, is promised to be able to amaze and captivate the hearts of those who are always waiting for the presence of this talented singer.
Following that, Afgan who had previously also acted in the movie Bukan Cinta Biasa did not refuse to continue his concert on the second day if he received an encouraging response from the fans.
“If the concert tickets sell out quickly, I am very open to holding a second performance the next day because I really like to perform and that is no problem for me,” he said.
