Admittedly lacking vocal power, Meer Nash promises to double his efforts

SHAH ALAM: I admit that I have done well, but finally the journey of the Big Stage 2023 participant, Meer Nash, stopped at the fourth week.

Her performance through the song Rapuh, Nastia’s original song failed to win the hearts of the judges thus placing Meer in the bottom three along with Firdaus Rahmat and Farhan Shah.

Admits feeling disappointed but for him this is the custom of the competition, some advance and some have to go home due to elimination.

“If not now, maybe next week or the week after but I don’t think this week because next week I will be performing my favorite song from Bunkface ‘Situasi’, so I’m a bit disappointed,” said Meer Nash.

Commenting on his participation in Big Stage 5, Meer Nash or real name Muhammad Shahmeer Mohd Nasrul, 28, said he gained a lot of knowledge even though his fortune only lasted for four weeks in the program.

“During the four weeks I was in Big Stage 5 I was satisfied. When I was a child, I always blamed myself if I didn’t do my best, but now, when I look back, everything I’ve done is what I’m capable of. Why do I want to blame myself?

“So I accept all the shortcomings and I try to improve during the four weeks at the Big Stage as advised by brother Ajai,” he explained.

At the same time, Meer who is interested in the Indonesian ballad genre admits that he is still weak in terms of vocal strength and will try harder to keep getting better.

“I can only say that sometimes there are people who are born with good vocal strength but not me.

“I was not born with vocal strength. So I have to work 10 or 100 times harder than other people.

“I have to know that I am alone on stage, I don’t have a group to help me. That’s why I need to work hard and I will learn more when I’m outside,” he added.
