Actor Jalil Hamid suffered from heart problems
KUALA LUMPUR: Artist Jalil Hamid reportedly suffered from heart problems and was treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Hospital Serdang, on Tuesday.
According to the veteran actor, one of the early signs experienced was a respiratory disorder that occurred a long time ago. Jalil or his real name, Abdul Jalil Abdul Hamid, 66, said, however, he has been allowed to return home.
” At first, I felt short of breath and went to get treatment at the hospital. Later, the doctor informed me that I had a heart-related problem.
“However, I was allowed to go home yesterday after receiving treatment at the hospital,” he said as reported by the BH Online news portal on Wednesday.
The actor of the movie Whispers in the Sky said, for now, he is just waiting for the results and a call from the hospital to get follow-up treatment.
“The doctor has run a blood test and will inform me of the date to return to the hospital for treatment.
“At the moment, I am at home and the oxygen level also needs to be closely monitored,” the portal reported again.
At the same time, Jalil explained, he chose to refuse to be in the hospital ward because he wanted to make room for other patients who were more in need.
“Actually, I still need to be treated in the hospital. But, I feel sorry to see the patient getting worse, I ask to go home and just rest at home.
“I saw that there were some patients who couldn’t get a bed and some had to wait a long time. I also saw some lying on the way to the hospital. So, I told the hospital to go home,” said Jalil again.
