Actor Hisham Ahmad Tajuddin passed away
KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran actor, Hisham Ahmad Tajudin breathed his last at 4.30pm this afternoon at Shah Alam Hospital (HSA).
The deceased died at the age of 76 due to a bacterial infection in the lungs.
Citing a report from the Berita Harian portal , the late Hisham’s daughter, Aqeela, 26, said that her father, who had been sleeping in the High Dependency Ward (HDW), HSA since the end of last month, breathed his last in front of family members.
“My grandfather, Hisham Ahmad Tajudin returned to meet the Creator at Asar time last night, at 4.30 pm.
“As I informed before, he died due to a bacterial infection in the lungs. It then spread to other organs until it stopped working.
“I was told it was bad since last night, when the hospital called me to tell me it was too late.
“So, we as a family, have been by Abah’s side since last night until Asar.
“Abah died in front of me, my husband and mother,” Aqeela was quoted as saying.
At this time, the family, said Aqeela, have not yet been able to share information about the deceased’s funeral because the hospital is still managing his father’s remains.
“I am waiting for the forensic team to make a report. Let the hospital handle it first,” he said.
The artist was admitted to the hospital on September 29 after suffering from a prolonged severe cough.
The deceased was also put to sleep and was completely dependent on a support machine due to not being able to breathe normally.
The late Hisham was one of the most respected actors in the country.
Throughout his involvement in the world of acting, the deceased starred in many films including Tsu-Feh Sofiah in 1986, Perempuan (1988) as well as popular dramas such as Dalam Hati Ada Cinta (2004), Dalam Hati Ada Cinta 2 (2005) and Tok Ayah (2014) .
