Touching on his career as a comedian, Afdlin acknowledged the difference between comedians who used to appear on television and are now more widespread on social media platforms.

“But when we go out to live our daily lives, we will only hold the phone. Here there seems to be a change but it is not that the television is not needed at all.
“In the past, people could make jokes, but back then there were no telephones. Different now people are more brave and try to show their jokes in social media.
