A popular museum in the city of London hosts an iftar ceremony
The program held on Friday was organized by Projek Khemah Ramadhan (Ramadan Tent Project) which was attended by more than 400 people, Anadolu Agency reported.
The project’s founder Omar Salha said the year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the project.
This project was started by a group of students at SOAS University London to share iftar meals together with international students.
Salha said the charity will organize iftar events in 10 cities throughout Ramadan including Birmingham, Manchester and Cambridge as well as London.
He said the breaking the fast event at Trafalgar Square will be the biggest iftar event.
The same events will also be encouraged at Shakespeare’s Globe theatre, Football club Chelsea’s stadium Stamford Bridge and Brighton and Hove Albion’s American Express Community stadium, he said.
