LOCATED on Level 1 visitors can learn about the functions, roles and responsibilities of Bank Negara Malaysia, especially in ensuring financial stability and economic prosperity of the country.

This gallery not only displays the early history of the establishment of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), but also displays a replica of a check with serial number 000001 worth RM20 million to be used as capital to operate the bank.

Visitors can also recognize the photos and signatures of the seven former Governors of Bank Negara that are displayed, as well as being able to feel they are in the Governor’s room.

ISLAMIC FINANCE AND BANKING GALLERY

HERE visitors will explore early Islamic trading and financial concepts that began in the Middle East, then spread to Europe and now encompass the entire world.

The unique design characteristic of Islamic architecture and the presentation of interactive information through the Glob Interactive Video certainly make visitors excited to learn more about the story.

EXHIBITING Bank Negara Malaysia’s various art collections consisting of paintings, prints, sketches and sculptures that highlight the country’s development as well as its support for artworks.

Covering an area of ​​1,000 square feet, the Art Gallery located on the third floor exhibits a collection of Bank Negara Malaysia and Southeast Asian artworks acquired since 1962 and these artworks have been produced by famous Malaysian painters such as Mohd Hoessein Enas and Yong Mun Sen .
