A memorial ceremony was held for Shireen Abu Akleh
RAMALLAH: A memorial service was held on Sunday for Al-Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh who was killed while covering Israeli military operations in the West Bank, last month.
According to Al-Jazeera’s Local Bureau Chief, Walid Al-Omari, his party promised to continue the struggle to bring justice to Shireen.
Al-Jazeera news network has published images of bullets allegedly killing Shireen.
It identified the bullet as a U.S. -made 5.56mm bullet fired from an M4 rifle, commonly used by the Israeli military.
The Israeli regime still denies it by stating the type of ammunition was also used by Hamas fighters.
With both sides at loggerheads over the investigation into Shireen’s death, several research and human rights groups have launched their own investigations.
Shireen is a well -known name throughout the Arab world for documenting the hardships of Palestinian life under Israeli rule, now in its sixth decade.
