500,000 visitors expected to celebrate RFP 2022
As many as 500,000 visitors are expected to enliven the annual Floria Diraja Putrajaya or Royal Floria Putrajaya (RFP) 2022 starting tomorrow until 4 September 2022.
According to the President of Putrajaya Corporation (PPj), Datuk TPr Fadlun Mak Ujud , the expectation is based on the current situation after two years of not being able to organize due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Based on the great reception from previous years, I believe we can achieve this number of visitors.
“Furthermore, this time the organization is only for seven days so the target is still the same and there is no change,” he told reporters at the Media Preview Ceremony for the RFP 2022 Launch.
RFP 2022 is graced with an abundance of various plant species in an estimated 200,000 to 300,000 quantity of flower trees.
It will be inaugurated by the King Queen Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandaria this Monday.
In addition, on the eve of Ambang Merdeka, the ceremony was completed with the presence of the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The festival, which lasts for seven days, is also expected to be the focus of families because there is a relaxing location with children near the Floria Beach area which is also provided with a playground, petting zoo and so on.
With the theme of Great Floria, various competitions are also held including the Orchid Competition, Bonsai Competition, Competition between Exhibition Gardens among participants from government and private agencies, Schools, University Competitions and Special Gardens such as PPj Park and so on.
