2022 Grammy Awards: Jon Batiste wins five awards
LOS ANGELES: Renowned singer Jon Batiste won five awards through his album We Are including the Best Album category at the 2022 Grammy Awards held here, today (Sunday night Los Angeles time).
Meanwhile, American-Filipino singer, Olivia Rodrigo was named Best New Artist and also took home the award in the Best Pop Vocal Album category.
At the awards ceremony as well, Leave the Door Open by Silk Sonic was named Best Song of the Year and Record of The Year.
The Foo Fighters won Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album but the group had previously announced they would cancel their Grammy performances following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins late last month and would not be at the ceremony to receive the honor.
